Red Tiger Karate
(Ages 5 - Adult)

Red Tiger Karate is our most popular family martial arts program. The martial art style we teach is called American Karate. Additional life-skills and self-defense topics are incorporated within our curriculum. We teach year-round with winter, spring, summer, and fall semesters. Classes are available in Aubrey, Carrollton, Denton, Flower Mound, Lewisville, and Roanoke. We encourage students and parents to talk to us about any individual issues as training progresses.

THE JUNIOR PROGRAM (ages 5-12)

The junior classes reinforce academic excellence, self-esteem, confidence, and respect. We emphasize that karate techniques only be practiced in our class and not in school or on the playground, as appropriate. On the academic side, we incorporate a series of incentives (“A-Team” patches) to motivate students to excel in school.

In addition to practicing karate techniques, abduction prevention training and bully self-defense skills are integrated in the lessons. Many parents enjoy watching the classes, not only to support their children, but to learn more about these safety topics.

Kids also have fun in class, as we teach purposeful karate games to the juniors. These games are designed to enhance mental focus, coordination, endurance, and strength. Our juniors don't know that part though, they're just having fun!

Junior Student Activities

Optional activities including camps, tournaments, belt tests, and seminars are integrated into the curriculum to enhance learning and enthusiasm. Friendly tournaments and Ninja Day Camps are held once per semester. Our tournaments for the juniors are "winners tournaments" where every student earns an award to help build confidence. The Junior Ninja Day Camps have a different theme every semester. Topics include abduction awareness, bully self-defense, judo, traditional martial art weapons (rubber for safety), as well as fun martial art games. Please note that there are additional fees for optional events.

Family Benefits

Many adult students are parents that joined to assist and encourage their children. The family benefits include common goals, shared values, cooperation, and teamwork. Discounts are available for families with three or more students training. Top of page

Supportive & Friendly Atmosphere!

Our adult classes have a cooperative and supportive atmosphere to foster personal growth. Students help motivate each other and instructors offer expertise and encouragement. In addition, training in our program allows students to get into a workout routine and learn a life-changing art at the same time. Benefits of our program will reach beyond the class by improving everyday focus, reducing daily stress, and improving quality of life.

THE ADULT & TEEN PROGRAM

The adult and teen classes focus on fitness, self-defense, and personal development. Most adults join to get in shape, make new friends, and learn realistic street self-defense. We teach adults who have rarely exercised as well as natural athletes in their prime. Our program is the ultimate way to get back in shape because we focus on aerobic, anaerobic, and flexibility exercises during our lessons, all while learning new skills.

Adult Self-Defense Camps
Weekend karate camps are offered twice a year for adults. These camps are street self-defense oriented. Topics include defense against: multiple-attackers, gun/knife, and attacks that end up on the ground.

In addition, other types of martial art styles are taught as well as martial arts weapons training. We eat gourmet style meals (thanks to Mr. Reaves) and have a lot of fun!

Adult Martial Art
& Defense Seminars

Seminars about various martial art styles, weapons, and defense topics are another reason to join our program. Students just don't learn one type of defense or skill set. By incorporating self-defense from various disciplines, students will have a number of tools to use in a defense situation. Our seminars also incorporate skills used by police and the military. We have a good time at these events, as camaraderie is always a big part of our program.

HOW TO ENROLL

It's easy to join our programs. Simply register at the class! Please arrive about 15 minutes early on the day you enroll. Feel free to try a class first to make sure you like it. Juniors (5-12 years old) meet in the early evening and train once per week. Adults and teens train after the junior classes.

Students can train year-round as we have four semesters per year. Each semester is 8 weeks long (sometimes longer depending on the time of year). The class price remains the same for each semester. Students simply pay as they go.

Prices for Red Tiger Karate (ages 5 - adult)
Red Tiger Karate teaches exclusively in schools and recreation centers, allowing students to train in an affordable, comprehensive program with high caliber instruction. Our classes are typically less than HALF the cost of many other martial art programs, plus we include more activities for the price. Lessons at most locations are $60 for 8 weeks and the uniform is $30. Students will only pay for class lessons and karate uniform upon joining. Other activities are pay-as-you go with no contracts or long-term commitments. Prices vary slightly by program, so please feel free to call us at 817-845-1557 with any specific questions.

Red Tiger Karate is the ultimate place to train because of our experienced instructors, proven curriculum, and our attention to individual student needs. We accept students who wish to train recreationally as well as those who prefer to make karate a serious part of their personal development. We have a number of students who successfully compete on the national level, including many of our instructors. More importantly, life lessons taught in our classes will continue to benefit our students throughout their lives.
